About Us
Sophienia began with a craft.
The Long Way.
Most brush brands buy bristles from a supplier they’ve never met, add a 300% markup, and call it “craftsmanship.”
We didn’t.
For 20 years, my father-in-law sourced the hair that went into Japanese fude brushes. For 12 years, I’ve been making them myself in Henan, China. Same hair. No middlemen. Honest price.
Why it matters:
When you know hair before you touch a ferrule, you don’t fake it. You don’t pack cheap bristles dense to hide them. You hand-check every brush before shipping it. You can do this at $12–$35 per brush because you’re not paying for a logo. We’re in China. Not sorry about it. Henan has been making brushes for 1,000 years.Japanese fude exists because of Chinese craft. We’re in that lineage.
We’re transparent because there’s nothing to hide.
In 2024, my father-in-law passed away.He spent 50 years on this. I’m continuing it to keep something alive that’s too good to fade.
Our Promise:
If a brush doesn’t feel right, you get your money back. If you use it for 5 years and something wears out, email us — we’ll fix it or replace it.
We’re small. We reply to every email.

Why Choose Sophienia Brushes?
Because softness and control come from the right materials — and the right hands.
We believe a good brush should feel gentle on the skin, apply product evenly, and stay reliable over time.
That is why we focus on what matters most: carefully selected natural hair,
Natural Materials
The goal is simple: brushes that feel better on the skin and create a softer, more natural-looking finish.
Artisan Craftsmanship
We make in small batches so every brush receives the attention it deserves.
Smooth Application
A good brush should help makeup sit better, blend more easily, and feel effortless to use.
Softness matters, but so does control — and both come from experience.
