About Us
Sophienia began with a craft.
Our story began long before this brand.
In the 1990s, my father-in-law started working with natural animal hair — selecting, processing, and supplying materials used in traditional brush making. In 2013, I joined him and began learning the work by hand: how to recognize good hair, how to process it properly, and how a brush should actually be made.
For years, we worked quietly behind the scenes in wholesale and production. But over time, we saw more and more products becoming expensive in branding, while drifting further away from real craftsmanship. Our story began long before this brand. Today, Sophienia is our small family studio — run by a husband and wife team, built on the experience passed down to us, and focused on making honest, well-crafted brushes in small batches for people who truly value them.
In 2024, my father-in-law passed away. What he left behind was more than a business — it was a craft, a discipline, and a way of working with care.
We continue this work to honor what he taught us, to keep traditional natural-hair brushmaking alive, and to find the people around the world who still appreciate something made with patience, skill, and purpose.

Honest value
No inflated markups — we put value into the brush itself.
“Good brushes are not made by chance. They are made by care — in the hair, the shape, and the hands behind them.”

That is why we focus on what matters most: carefully selected natural hair,

The goal is simple: brushes that feel better on the skin and create a softer, more natural-looking finish.

A good brush should help makeup sit better, blend more easily, and feel effortless to use.
